This Privacy Policy explains how Loopwit ("we", "us", "our") handles
information in connection with Plop: Gary and Otto (the "App"), a free
casual mobile game available on Android (package ID: com.loopwit.plop).
We have written this policy to be plain and direct. The short version: we do not collect or store any personal data on our own servers. Your game progress lives only on your device. A third-party advertising SDK (Google AdMob) may collect limited data when you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad — see Section 4 for full details.
1. Who We Are
The App is developed and published by Loopwit, an independent mobile game studio. For privacy matters, Loopwit acts as the data controller in respect of any personal data processed in connection with the App.

Email: privacy@loopwit.com
For users in the European Union or UK, if you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy inquiry you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your EU member-state DPA).
2. Information Collected
A. Information we collect directly — None
We do not collect any personal information directly. There is no account system, no login, no registration, and no data is sent to our servers. We do not collect names, email addresses, location data, or any other personally identifiable information.
B. Data stored locally on your device
The App saves the following data only on your device using Android's local storage:
- Game progress (levels completed, scores, achievements)
- In-game settings and preferences (e.g., sound/music on or off)
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us or any third party. It is deleted when you uninstall the App.
C. Connectivity check
Before showing an optional rewarded ad, the App makes a brief outbound HTTP request
to a Google endpoint (connectivitycheck.gstatic.com) to test whether your
device has an active internet connection. This request contains no personal data and
no response body is stored or transmitted to us. It is a standard Android network
reachability probe.
D. Data collected by Google AdMob (third-party SDK)
The App integrates Google AdMob to serve optional rewarded video ads only. Rewarded ads are purely opt-in — you choose to watch an ad in exchange for in-game rewards; no ads are shown automatically, and there are no banner or interstitial ads.
When AdMob is active, Google may collect, as an independent data controller:
- Device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID / GAID)
- IP address (used for approximate geolocation and fraud prevention)
- App interaction data (ad impressions, clicks, engagement)
- Device information (OS version, device model, language)
- Interest-based and contextual ad targeting signals
3. How Information Is Used
| Data | Purpose | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| Local game progress & settings | Save your place in the game between sessions | Stored on your device only; not accessed by Loopwit |
| Connectivity probe | Determine if rewarded ads can load | Handled entirely by your device's OS; no data stored |
| Ad-related data (AdMob) | Serve and measure optional rewarded video ads; personalise ads based on interests | Google LLC, acting as an independent data controller |
We do not use any data for profiling, marketing, analytics, or any purpose beyond what is described above. We do not sell data, share data for cross-context behavioural advertising, or monetise data in any way.
4. Third-Party Services — Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob, a mobile advertising service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). AdMob is integrated via the Google Mobile Ads SDK for Android.
What AdMob does
AdMob delivers optional rewarded video ads and may use device identifiers and interest data to show you personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time — your choice does not affect your ability to watch rewarded ads; you may simply see less relevant ads.
Google's privacy policy

How to opt out of personalised ads
- On your Android device: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+) or Opt out of Ads Personalisation (older versions).
- Via Google's ad settings: adssettings.google.com
- EU/UK users — consent: On first launch, AdMob may present a consent dialogue under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). You can withdraw or change consent at any time through the same in-app prompt or via the links above.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
This section applies to users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom.
Because we do not ourselves collect or process personal data, we do not rely on any GDPR legal basis for our own processing. However, insofar as the connectivity probe incidentally involves transient network data, our basis would be:
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — determining ad availability is a minimal, necessary technical operation with negligible privacy impact.
For Google AdMob's processing, Google relies on the following legal bases (managed through its own consent mechanisms):
| Processing activity | Legal basis (Google / AdMob) |
|---|---|
| Personalised advertising | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — obtained via IAB TCF consent dialogue |
| Non-personalised advertising / fraud prevention | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
| Ad measurement and reporting | Legitimate interests / Consent (depending on scope) |
We have implemented Google's UMP (User Messaging Platform) SDK to surface a consent dialogue to EEA and UK users before any personalised advertising takes place, as required by GDPR and the IAB TCF.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the following rights regarding personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you ourselves, most of these rights apply primarily to Google (in its capacity as controller of AdMob data).
- Right of access — You can request a copy of any personal data held about you. For AdMob data, contact Google via myaccount.google.com.
- Right to rectification — You can ask us or Google to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — You can request deletion. For Loopwit: uninstall the App to delete all locally stored data. For AdMob data: see Google's privacy policy or delete your Android advertising ID.
- Right to restriction of processing — You can ask us to limit processing of your data.
- Right to data portability — Where applicable, you can ask for your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Opt out of personalised ads using the instructions in Section 4.
- Right to withdraw consent — Where we (or AdMob) rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting lawfulness of prior processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint — You may contact your local data protection authority. In the EU: your member-state DPA; in the UK: the ICO.
To exercise any right against Loopwit, please email privacy@loopwit.com. We will respond within 30 days (or 1 month under GDPR).
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
This section applies to California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, you have specific rights.
Because we do not collect or maintain personal data ourselves, the categories of personal information we collect or disclose for business purposes are effectively none from our end.
Google AdMob, operating as a service provider, may collect certain device-level data as described in Section 2D. Google's own California privacy disclosures are available at policies.google.com/privacy#california .
California residents may:
- Request to know what personal information has been collected (response: none by Loopwit)
- Request deletion of personal information (uninstalling the App deletes all local data)
- Opt out of sale or sharing — there is nothing to opt out of on our end
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights
To make a CCPA request, email privacy@loopwit.com. We will respond within 45 days.
8. Data Retention
All data generated by the App (game progress, settings) is stored only on your device and is retained for as long as the App is installed. It is automatically and permanently deleted when you uninstall the App, or when you clear the App's data via Android's app management settings.
Loopwit does not retain any copies of this data. We have no backend server and do not perform backups of user data.
For data retained by Google AdMob, please refer to Google's retention policies .
9. Children's Privacy
Plop: Gary and Otto is a general-audience casual game. It is not specifically directed at children under 13 (US), under 16 (EU/UK), or under the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction. The App's content rating on Google Play is rated for Everyone.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We do not profile users by age, and all users of the App receive the same privacy protections described in this policy.
Google AdMob operates in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable children's privacy laws. Personalised advertising via AdMob is subject to Google's own child-safety policies. We have not flagged the App as child-directed in the AdMob console, consistent with the general-audience rating.
If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us immediately at privacy@loopwit.com and we will take prompt action.
10. International Data Transfers
Loopwit does not transfer any personal data internationally because we do not collect or store personal data.
Google AdMob, as an independent data controller, may transfer data internationally, including to the United States and other countries where Google operates. Google relies on the following mechanisms to legitimise such transfers:
- EU–US Data Privacy Framework — Google LLC is certified under the EU–US DPF for transfers from the EEA to the US.
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) — For other jurisdictions, Google uses SCCs approved by the European Commission or equivalent national mechanisms.
Full details of Google's transfer mechanisms are available in Google's Privacy Policy .
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will also post a notice within the App or on this page for at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, please uninstall the App.
Previous versions of this policy are available on request by emailing privacy@loopwit.com.
